Coil Assembly
The C.S.M. coiling machine, was designed and made to solve a series of problems and limitations common to traditional machines, such as:
- inconsistency of speed due to a single motorization and to the use of clutches to transmit movement to the backing wheel;
- difficult machine setting;
- variation of the coil ohmic value due to eventual variations within the wire used (lower quality wires);
- difficulty to obtain a product without the deformations on the ends due to the cutting operation (curl);
And thus the machine proposed includes a series of special features to address all the problems mentioned above, including the measurement of the ohmic ( resistance ) value of the coil on the fly. One of the major improvements is the facility to cut the coils without a burr ( curl ), and to save the data related to a coil so that the machine parameters can be recalled at a later stage to ease the setup of machine.

Coil cleaning traditionaly has been done with clorinated solvents. With the ever more stringent pollution controls different solutions are being sought. C.S.M. proposes a water washing system which requires a water soluble winding lubrificant ( which C.S.M. can also offer ).
C.S.M. proposes two washing sustems:
- For small batches
- For large batches ( continuous flow with a tunnel type washer ).
The complexity of the system depends on the customer requirements.

Welding of coils is one of the key factors in the life of an heating element and the welding source plays a very important role. We can offer manual, semi automatic or fully automatic welding equipment for coil/terminal pins, depending on the production required.
