THE COMPANY
WIP Industries Sweden is a modern and unique manufacturing industry based in Åseda. The company operates in its new, fully automated production facility spanning 12,000 square meters, which was completed in 2024. Annually, it will produce 3.8 million stainless steel pots intended for the international interior design industry.
The company is part of the WIP Group AB, which comprises eight different companies and over the years, has completed many large-scale projects worldwide. Its strategy is centered on developing cost-effective production solutions to ensure global competitiveness.
CUSTOMER NEEDS
- Produce handles and lids with a defined oval shape for cookware, meeting the request of a prestigious and important client like IKEA.

- Incorporate in the fully automated production system a new machine that can integrate well with the current equipment.
THE EXPERIENCE WITH CSM
Following a specific contract for the production of cookware, commissioned by a major customer such as IKEA, WIP Industries Sweden decided to invest in the upgrading of its production system. This investment was made in the search for a reliable partner, able to meet the customer’s needs and to integrate effectively into the production environment, characterized by a high degree of automation.
CSM MACHINERY proved to be the ideal choice. The machine can produce non-round tubes with a dedicated geometric profile. It is a complete line for forming and welding stainless steel tubes, equipped with an in-line reshaping unit that reduces costs and optimizes the production process.
We wanted to internalize this business in order to be more competitive and that’s why we needed a machine that could produce tubes with a specific geometrical oval form, with an inline process. We asked also to other suppliers, but we found CSM as the most competitive partner for this special project.
The need to integrate an additional machine into a fully automated production environment was met through the creation of a customized line, designed for optimal integration with the existing production system, greatly facilitating both the installation phase and subsequent use.
