Purpose-built for processing flat and oval tubular heating elements, this diameter-reduction rolling mill delivers high-precision results even on complex cross-sections. A vertical roll configuration, rather than the traditional X-layout used for round tubes, combined with dedicated inlet and outlet guides, reduces the element’s diameter while increasing oxide density, resulting in a superior final product.
The quick-change head system allows the mill to be adapted to different cross-sections in approximately 45 minutes, cutting operating time and increasing production flexibility.
The concrete advantages that make the difference

With its vertical roll configuration, the mill is purpose-built to handle flat and oval tubular heating elements. The dedicated outlet guide ensures precise element tracking throughout the rolling process, delivering consistent results even on complex cross-sections.

Controlled diameter reduction during rolling increases the density of the internal magnesium oxide, a key factor for the performance and lifespan of the finished component. The result is a heating element with improved technical characteristics, ready for the next stages of production.

To process elements with different cross-sections, the mill head can be replaced with minimal effort. Thanks to its quick-change design, a trained operator completes the changeover in approximately 45 minutes, significantly reducing downtime and increasing production line versatility.
The heating element enters the machine through a dedicated guide that ensures correct positioning from the earliest stage of processing. It then passes through four pairs of rolls, each with a specific rolling profile: this gradual progression reduces the diameter in a controlled way, without excessive stress on the workpiece, resulting in higher internal magnesium oxide density and therefore a more durable, higher-performing final product.
The vertical roll configuration, designed specifically for flat and oval cross-sections, keeps the element consistently guided and aligned throughout the process, ensuring uniform results even on non-standard geometries.
At the roll outlet, a 4-roll adjustable straightening unit restores the element’s perfect linearity, which can be affected during rolling. An extraction unit then guides its complete exit from the head, preventing interference with the next workpiece and ensuring continuity of the production cycle.
